CDL A Prep: Tests & Pre-Trip · Android

Effective October 29, 2026

The Android app keeps your study progress on your device. Version 1.0.2 (build 4) with advertising uses Google AdMob to display banners and occasional full-screen ads, and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising privacy choices. Advertising services process device and usage information described below. No app account or subscription is needed, and study content remains usable offline.

## 1. Who provides the app

CDL A Prep: Tests & Pre-Trip is provided by Capital Central Services, LLC (the publisher, we, or us). This policy covers the advertising-enabled Android app, starting with version 1.0.2, build 4, and this advertising privacy page. Earlier Android builds 2 and 3 contain no advertising SDKs and remain covered by [https://cdl-a-prep-privacy.pages.dev/android-privacy](https://cdl-a-prep-privacy.pages.dev/android-privacy).

For privacy questions or requests, contact [info@mocoitpros.com](mailto:info@mocoitpros.com).

## 2. Study information kept on your device

The app saves information in its local storage so you can continue practicing and review your progress:

• Answer totals and accuracy, questions encountered, current mistakes, saved questions, and completed study-set totals.

• Pre-trip cards reviewed and cards you mark as known.

• Completed yard-run totals, maneuvers practiced, and the most recent run’s time, pull-ups, boundary contacts, and completion date.

• Your selected question language.

• Custom yard trainer settings, including vehicle dimensions, steering, brakes and ground conditions.

Study content is packaged in the app. Questions, cards and yard practice work without a network connection. The advertising-enabled build requests internet and network-state access for advertising and privacy messages. It does not upload study records. We do not operate an app account or a server that receives your answers, bookmarks, card ratings, yard results or settings.

For spoken inspection prompts, the app passes the displayed script to the text-to-speech engine installed on your device and selects an English voice that the engine reports does not require a network connection. The app does not record your voice. If a suitable voice is unavailable, you can read and practice the cards without speech. Installing voices takes place separately in your device’s text-to-speech settings; the installed speech engine is an independent system service with its own settings and privacy practices.

## 3. Advertising, analytics and SDKs

This Android build uses Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). Banners appear in a reserved area; full-screen advertisements can appear at completed-activity breaks after at least two distinct completed activities, no more often than once every two minutes. The app does not require an ad click to study.

Google Mobile Ads automatically collects and shares your IP address (which can be used to estimate a general location), app and ad interactions such as app launches, taps and video views, diagnostic information such as app and SDK performance, and device or account identifiers such as Android advertising ID and app set ID. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. This SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. See [https://developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy/play-data-disclosure](https://developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy/play-data-disclosure) and [https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads](https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads).

UMP contacts Google to check which privacy choices apply, display applicable consent or opt-out messages, and store your choices. The app checks consent information at launch and requests ads only when UMP reports that ads can be requested. Availability and personalization of advertising depend on your location, choices, device settings and Google policies.

Your answers, scores, saved questions, pre-trip ratings, yard results, language selection and simulator settings are not supplied to AdMob or UMP by the app. The publisher does not receive these on-device study records. We do not add a separate analytics or third-party crash-reporting SDK.

## 4. Your privacy choices

No registration is required to study. The app does not request your contacts, camera, microphone or precise GPS location. Advertising needs a network connection; packaged study content can be used offline.

Where required, a Google privacy message appears before ad requests. You can consent, decline or manage the available choices in that message. When Google requires a privacy-options entry point, open Info → Advertising privacy choices to review or change your choices. The study features remain available if you decline or advertising is unavailable.

You can reset or delete your Android advertising ID in device settings; menu names vary by Android version. You can manage Google advertising preferences at [https://myadcenter.google.com/](https://myadcenter.google.com/) and learn about Google privacy controls at [https://policies.google.com/privacy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).

You choose whether to use Listen in English, open an external website or contact support. You can change your installed text-to-speech engine and voices in Android settings. Reading, answering questions, rating cards and yard practice remain available without speech.

You can review or reset local study progress and restore yard settings as described below. Opening an external link or your email app does not automatically send your study history to the publisher.

## 5. Retention and deleting study progress

Study records do not expire. Open Your progress from Questions or Info, choose Reset local study progress, and confirm Reset progress. This clears answer history, saved questions, card review state and yard results.

Reset does not erase the selected language or custom yard geometry. Restore practice defaults in the yard Geometry screen to reset simulator settings. Android Settings → Apps → CDL A Prep → Storage → Clear storage removes all local app data, including settings. Uninstalling the app also removes its local data.

The app’s Android configuration disables cloud backup and device transfer for its local data. There is no publisher-operated cloud sync. We cannot access or erase on-device study records remotely.

Reset local study progress does not reset the separate advertising consent choices stored by UMP. Use Advertising privacy choices when available to change those choices. Google retains advertising and consent information under its own policies and provides its own controls; resetting study progress does not delete information already processed by Google. See [https://policies.google.com/privacy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) and [https://policies.google.com/technologies/retention](https://policies.google.com/technologies/retention). We cannot access or erase Google-held advertising records through the app.

## 6. If you contact us

Contact support opens your chosen email app with the publisher’s address and a draft containing the app version and space to describe the issue. Your study records are not attached. You decide whether to send the message.

If you send a privacy or support message, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and message. This correspondence is separate from the app’s offline study records. We use it to respond and handle your request, and keep it only as needed for that purpose and any applicable obligations. Please do not send passwords, identity documents, or other unnecessary sensitive information. Your email provider processes the message under its own policies.

## 7. This website and external links

This page contains no analytics scripts, advertising, embedded third-party content, forms, or cookies set by the page itself. The hosting service may process standard request information, such as an IP address, browser information, and request time, to deliver and protect the website.

The app opens website links in your external browser and support drafts in your email app. Those independent services and your installed speech engine process information under their own policies. Your study history is not attached to external links or support drafts.

## 8. Children

This app is intended for people preparing for a commercial driver’s license and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information in a support message, contact the publisher so the concern can be addressed.

## 9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its services change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date. You can contact the publisher with questions about this policy or your privacy choices.
